Cars to Brighten a Foggy Day

I keep meaning to post these photos of colorful vehicles spotted around the neighborhood to brighten up our cloudy winter days. But those have been so few and far between I decided to finally just put them up.

I think we'll see a lot more strangely painted cars now that nobody can afford to buy a new one...

I remember painting the hood (bonnet) of one of my Volkswagens gold... I made it into sort of an arrow -- I think it looked pretty sharp, but doubt if it was much of a chick-magnet...

First off, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog and your interesting "take" of the Sunset District. Please keep it up!
Also, I couldn't help but think of this particular post when a friend of mine who lives in the Protero Hill District told me that SF BMW (where her X5 SUV is being serviced with transmission issues) told her that SF is an "extreme driving example". Her response, "For an SUV"?
Look at these vehicles. If they can make it in SF, surely a BMW X5 can!

Hi Everyone!
Don - I thought I had left a comment here about fond memories of the handles on old VW's. Hmm.

Al-Pal - Thanks for stopping by even though I haven't been posting much.

Betty - S.F. has extreme driving, that's funny. I guess it is all in perspective. Growing up here hills seem natural although my first car was very tiny and some hills seemed almost impossible.
